The Casualties

The Casualties members aimed to return to what they viewed as the "golden era" of street punk, embodied by bands such as The Exploited, Charged GBH, which they believed had disappeared by 1985. During the early years, the lineup was stable. The initial lineup consisted of Colin and Jorge on vocals, Yureesh on drums, Hank on guitar, and Mark on bass. Colin stepped out for several months to finish his education while Rachel, Rivits' singer, took his place.
At this point, Colin, Jorge, Yureesh, and Mark put together a demo. Fred replaced Hank, but then Fred left to go to school, and Scott from C-Squat filled in. Another guitarist, Steve, from Distraught, also filled in during this period. The EP 40 Oz. Casualty was recorded. By 1992, the band was touring and building up a fan base in NYC. In 1993, bassist Mark and guitarist Fred were replaced by Mike and Jake, respectively and Yureesh was replaced by Shawn on drums in 1994. In 1995, the band's second release, the "A Fuckin Way Of Life" E.P. was released on Eyeball Records. In 1996, Shawn left the band, and Meggers of the Rivits came to fill in and became the regular drummer. The line-up of Jorge, Jake, Mike and Meggers continued until 1997. Johnny (Of The Krays) served as bassist until 1998 (a position more permanently filled by Rick later that year).
The Casualties have continued to produce high-energy recordings and they have done US and international tours (e.g., Europe, Japan, and El Salvador). Under Attack was released on SideOneDummy Records in 2006, and they toured virtually non-stop for three years in support of the album. Their newest album, We Are All We Have, was released on the SideOneDummy label on August 25, 2009.
In December 2009, The Casualties toured alongside Hatebreed, The Acacia Strain, Crowbar, and Thy Will Be Done as part of the Stillborn Fest.
The Casualties are currently planning on recording a new album in April 2012, to be released in the summer of 2012.

The Ramones Biography

The Ramones adalah punk rock band yang dibentuk di Queens, New York, Amerika Serikat pada tahun 1974. Band ini awalnya terdiri dari Joey Ramone (vokal), Johnny Ramone (gitar), Dee Dee Ramone (bass) dan Tommy Ramone (drum). Band ini awalnya dibentuk sebagai bagian 3-dengan Dee Dee pada bass / vokal dan Joey drum. Sid Vicious

John Simon Ritchie-Beverley (May 10, 1957 – February 2, 1979), better known as Sid Vicious, was an English punk rock musician and member of the band the Sex Pistols. He died of a heroin overdose at the age of 21. In November 1977 Ritchie met American groupie Nancy Laura Spungen and they immediately began a relationship (Spungen had come to London looking for Jerry Nolan of The Heartbreakers). She was a heroin addict, and inevitably Ritchie, who already believed in his own "live fast, die young" image, soon shared the dependence. Although deeply in love, their often violent and rocky relationship had a disastrous effect on the Sex Pistols. Both the group and Ritchie visibly deteriorated during their 1978 American tour. The Pistols broke up in San Francisco on January 14 during a concert at the Winterland Ballroom when Lydon walked off the stage. Ritchie left shortly afterwards, and with Spungen acting as his "manager" he embarked on a short and ignoble solo career, during which he performed with musicians including Mick Jones of The Clash, original Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, Rat Scabies of The Damned and the New York Dolls' Arthur Kane and Jerry Nolan. Meanwhile Ritchie and Spungen had become locked in their own world of drug addiction and self-destruction. Interview footage shows the couple attempting to answer questions from their bed: Spungen is barely coherent while Ritchie lapses in and out of consciousness. He also came very close to death following a heroin overdose and was hospitalised for a time. On the morning of October 12, 1978 Ritchie allegedly awoke from a drugged stupor to find Spungen crumpled dead on the bathroom floor of room 100 in the Hotel Chelsea in New York. She had received a single stab wound to her abdomen and apparently bled to death. Vicious was arrested and charged with her murder although he said he had no memory of having done so. However, he later claimed to have "killed her because I'm a dirty dog." There are wholly unsupported theories Spungen was murdered by someone else, usually said to be one of the two drug dealers who visited the apartment that night. After appearing in court over Spungen's death, Ritchie was briefly interviewed by a tabloid journalist. He was shaking slightly and appeared sober, morose, and withdrawn: Interviewer: Are you having fun at the moment? Ritchie: Are you kidding? No, I am not having fun at all. (long pause) Interviewer: Where would you like to be? Ritchie: Under the ground. Interviewer: Are you serious? Ritchie: (quietly, and sad) Yeah. Bail of $50,000 was put up by Virgin Records at McLaren's request, and in February 1979 a party to celebrate his release was held at the home of his new girlfriend Michelle Robinson. During his time at Rikers Island prison, Ritchie had undergone drug rehabilitation therapy and was supposedly clean. However at the party he obtained some heroin from his mother, and was discovered dead the following morning, having taken a large overdose. Speculation has persisted that Ritchie, unable to live without his beloved Nancy, took his own life. He wrote the following poem about her: You were my little baby girl, And I shared all your fears. Such joy to hold you in my arms and kiss away your tears. But now you're gone, there's only pain and nothing I can do. And I don't want to live this life, If I can't live for you. To my beautiful baby girl. Our love will never die... After Ritchie's death, his mother phoned Deborah Spungen, Nancy's mother, to request that he be buried next to her, but Deborah Spungen declined. There are several myths about what happened to Ritchie's remains but one of the most persistent is that late one night, "Sid's mother jumped the graveyard fence where Nancy was buried and scattered his ashes over his beloved for them to be together for all time." According to The Guardian, "It's more likely that Ma Vicious arrived back at Heathrow with his remains. Malcolm McLaren claims she knocked them over in the arrivals lounge; hence the fanciful myth that Sid's essence still circulates, wafting through the air vents and moving among the travellers." . Sid Sings, a solo album, was released posthumously by Virgin Records. This was mostly a collection of cover versions of rock 'n' roll numbers such as "C'mon Everybody" and "Something Else" by Eddie Cochran along with material by Iggy Pop and Johnny Thunders and a rendition of the Paul Anka / Frank Sinatra standard "My Way". Striking footage of Vicious performing this song in Paris provides the closing sequence for Julien Temple's film The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle

Sex Pistols Biography

Sex Pistols adalah band punk rock yang dibentuk di London, Inggris, United Kingdom pada tahun 1975, keluar dari abu Strand. Gaya hidup dan Ideologi

Pertama, melakukan penelitian terhadap lingkungannya dan mengatur hasil penelitian tersebut secara rasional (sains). Kedua, mengatur ulang lingkungan terdekatnya dengan tujuan membuat sesuatu yang baru (seni).

Dengan definisi diatas, punk dapat dikategorikan sebagai bagian dari dunia kesenian. Gaya hidup dan pola pikir para pendahulu punk mirip dengan para pendahulu gerakan seni avant-garde, yaitu dandanan nyleneh, mengaburkan batas antara idealisme seni dan kenyataan hidup, memprovokasi audiens secara terang-terangan, menggunakan para penampil (performer) berkualitas rendah dan mereorganisasi (atau mendisorganisasi) secara drastis kemapanan gaya hidup. Para penganut awal kedua aliran tersebut juga meyakini satu hal, bahwa hebohnya penampilan (appearances) harus disertai dengan hebohnya pemikiran (ideas).

Punk selanjutnya berkembang sebagai buah kekecewaan musisi rock kelas bawah terhadap industri musik yang saat itu didominasi musisi rock mapan, seperti The Beatles, Rolling Stone, dan Elvis Presley. Musisi punk tidak memainkan nada-nada rock teknik tinggi atau lagu cinta yang menyayat hati. Sebaliknya, lagu-lagu punk lebih mirip teriakan protes demonstran terhadap kejamnya dunia. Lirik lagu-lagu punk menceritakan rasa frustrasi, kemarahan, dan kejenuhan berkompromi dengan hukum jalanan, pendidikan rendah, kerja kasar, pengangguran serta represi aparat, pemerintah dan figur penguasa terhadap rakyat.

Akibatnya punk dicap sebagai musik rock and roll aliran kiri, sehingga sering tidak mendapat kesempatan untuk tampil di acara televisi. Perusahaan-perusahaan rekaman pun enggan mengorbitkan mereka.

Gaya hidup ialah relatif tidak ada seorangpun memiliki gaya hidup sama dengan lainnya. Ideologi diambil dari kata "ideas" dan "logos" yang berarti buah pikiran murni dalam kehidupan. Gaya hidup dan ideologi berkembang sesuai dengan tempat, waktu dan situasi maka punk kalisari pada saat ini mulai mengembangkan proyek "jor-joran" yaitu manfaatkan media sebelum media memanfaatkan kita. Dengan kata lain punk berusaha membebaskan sesuatu yang membelenggu pada zamannya masing-masing.

TOtAl TolOL

TOtAl TolOL are bands that come from the outskirts of Jakarta among the cities that we call Punkcoran City Rocker, consisting of three personnel with different musical character - different strains put together a stylish "PUNK".
"TOtAl TolOL", formed in early May 1998, a blend of punk music we offer, creating an atmosphere of criticism and little to parody as a form of rebellion that injustice must be expressed by the People's Social criticism. Side represents the appreciation of our music loud music and we believe and trust, that you can cooperate with us to present the concept of music "punk parody" an energetic, Hard and Criticism. Maybe for some of the world of music in Indonesia is a stupid thing. when popping the many bands that menyayikan love song that we consider all of it is crap .. but here we are without relying on the major label world we were able to stand alone and still exist to this day. DO IT YOURSELF (DIY)

An homage to Punk Rock Band with the name "BABY PONK_PONK" is the beginning of the embryo is now called  "TOtAl TolOL", two personnel "BABY PONK_PONK" including IwaRiot and Lany Anarchy. With the passage of time, came at a time when reform of personnel due to the difference principle in music. Substitution of the evolutionary way of thinking and a meeting between IwaRiot and Lany Anarchy sparked a new band and conceptualizing music can represent more characters who want us express music. Entering the year 1998 IwaRiot (Guitar) & Lany Anarchy (Drum) agreed to find a friend who wanted to join, including Echol Chaos (Bass & Vocals) with a touch of "Punk Parody". So in the year it was agreed to use the name "TOtAl TolOL".
